Moving on Up

to the north! Illinois that is. I know, you are probably thinking, "Kerri, that was about two/three weeks ago." I know. You're right. What can I say? To be fair, I have been unpacking and trying to make the new house feel like our new home. Aww... how cute is that? Cuteness aside, let me tell you that everything is going great. My room is now completely finished--also finished is my schedule for fall (finally!). I will be taking 18 hours and none of the course titles sound particularly fun (do they ever?)- but hey, I know I can get through it, and I am on track to graduate in 2 years (yay!). Let's see. How about I give you a brief rundown of the past month, eh?

5.6: First day of exams in Auburn.
5.7: Fly to Orlando for Matthew's wedding
5.8: Spent day in Downtown Disney and saw Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba
5.9: Flew back to Atlanta and drove home to Auburn (in this day, actually rode in a boat, train, subway, plane, car, and 4 different buses!)
5.11: Last day of exams in Auburn. Packed up dorm and stayed in house for last time
5.12: Started trip northward. Stayed over night in Nashville visiting family.
5.13: Made it to Charleston!
5.15: Road-trip to St. Louis to see the musical Young Frankenstein and to take mom to the airport
5.16: Road-trip to Chicago
5.17: Volunteered at a golf tournament in Chicago working the 3-par challenge with Ted Petersen (2 time superbowl winner)
5.18: Toured EIU, visited with counselor, and made up schedule for fall
5.22: Visited Amish country
5.28 Moving van came! Time spent working on the house!
5.29: Mom and Codi arrive in Illinois
6.4: Explore Champaign, Il
6.5: Attend Strawberry Jam in Arthur, Il.

Well... That is all I can remember at the moment. As you can see, or, at least, as I hope you can see, I have been very busy! I do promise to write more often (and quicker so that I do not lose the stories!).

All the best!
