12/23- saw Memoirs of a Geisha with Dani, Elisabeth, & Francis. It was good; that puppy will win some awards! Best part- boy and girl are having hushed conversation by lake, he leans in and says, "there's something I should have told you long ago" -which of course is that he loves her- at same time, Elisabeth learns over and goes, "I'm gay." It was great... that would have changed the whole mood of the movie right there. That night, we had our "Christmas Dinner" and opened presents.
12/24- went to Opry Land hotel for Christmas Eve night. Watch the awesome fountain/light show. And I was totally an awesome tour guide b/c of the beta trip.
12/25- Christmas! I got a car. It may be small, in a little glass box, and not even able to fit a polly pocket inside, but it is still a car.
12/26- Christmas in Chatt. I usually love to cause trouble, but I was good this year. Aren't you proud?
12/27- Went to art district: had hot chocolate, sandwich, and played boccie, had dinner with Lauren and Ashley, and went to mall with them (totally had a smoothie... YUM!). Went to their house for a bit and more than likely bored them out of their minds with RENT soundtrack (which I'm listening to right now as well!)
12/28- Had lunch at Fuddruckers and that's about it. Oh! There was a bad hail storm on the way back and now dad has to pay a lot to fix all the dinges in his car
12/29- Worked out and now my arms are really tired. I also bought Wicked and am currently reading it. So far, it's good!
12/30- (today) Finally updated my blog after a looooong absence. Tonight I will pack for my ski trip tomorrow!

LAST DAY!
Last day of school! Yep buddies!
Band was so much fun. Dani made these awesome cootie catchers... I will be in a Broadway play but will live in a box in central park. Oh well...
The English exam was fairly easy. Elizabeth and I were both done with an hour to spare, so we snuck out my CD player and listened to the whole first disc. WOOT!
12.19.2005
Kirby is Gorgeous!
This is a well known fact though... so we won't dwell on it...
I had two exams today, french and health in the opposite order. The french was ok... I guess the health was too, it just shocked us a little when we found out it was a 14 paragraph essay... it was pretty easy though!
I bought headphones!
I have one exam tomorrow, but 2 classes. I'll have to sit in band for 2 hours doing nothing... YAY!
I like white chocolate chex mix....
Now, if only I could get those darn rent songs out of my head...
12.10.2005
Band Concert
As for actual music, we did very well. I was so happy!
Here are some pics for ya!

I would be the one near the very end, for I told Lindsey I was one the left, yet she stood one the right to take pics... oh well... Enjoy!
(I'm the one with the knee bent up a little near the back!)

yo ho! yo ho! A good grade is for me!
11.27.2005
short vacay
- man... five days off of school is awesome... but it also helps me relize how lame my life is. I have watched lots of movies (starz and hbo rock) and, well, that's about it..
- We did continue one of our few traditions. That being the day (or, in this case, the day after the day) after thanksgiving we put up the tree, make slice-n-bake cookies, and drink egg-nog. YuM!
- I had pizza for lunch... i totally did not burn it a bit
- I got all my Christmas shopping done. I always try to be done by the end of November... But I'm totally done! My mom and dad know everything I bought, including their own stuff. Mainly cause they're sooooooo hard to shop for
- I know what Codi got me. Dad was like "What should Codi get you?" I said, "French vanilla cookie things (name escapes me right now!)." He said all right and I heard him whisper to Codi that I wanted chocolate cookies. I whispered across the aisle that I wanted French vanilla. He goes "right!" and they set off. Five paces later, he turns and says, "Kerri, I forgot what you said!" I was like, "Do you just want me to come with you?" He said, "That'd be great." So I actually handed Codi the cookies.

chatt visit
I got to go to chatt for this past 3 day weekend. I actually left 3rd block thursday and came back saturday. My little run down:
- thursday
- got out of band early
- personal pan pizza from pizzahut to go for lunch
- looooooong car drive
- dinner at big river grill
- hotel (watched Alias... YES!)
- friday
- went to museum, talked to ppl, saw that they still have the red map shirt... i pitty those poor souls
- had cookies-n-cream milkshake and cheezy fries at steak-n-shake
- went to Kohls, got some totally awesome clothes
- got to spend time with Kendall at the mall
- this makes me really happy!
- she is sooooo sweet... and soooo stubborn
- yay! We're bullet happy!
- had Famous Daves.... had a refill on my drink (lauren should know that that means I was very thirsty!)
- went to media play and got Lindsey an awesome christmas present! (as well as a book for moi!)
- hung out at barnes and noble for an hourish (l -heart- bookstores!)
- sat
- kohls shopping trip again.... not sure why
- fuddruckers for lunch... yummy, yum, yum!
- got home in time for georgia vs. auburn fb game
- my dad ordered food from some icky wings place which made the whole house smell odd. (I was going to use the word "funny", but "odd" fits better)
- watched some alias s.2 that lindsey got me for my b-day... 2 more discs to go!
11.07.2005
2 much fun
I had so much fun at baton today. I got a trick early and got to work on a harder one. Then we worked on some awesome partnerswaps. I was happy that this happened as I got wires today. I also got a shot today. I have a really delayed reaction to shots. About 5 hours later, I yelled, "Ouch!" My mom thought it was funny.
11.05.2005
Last game ever.... (for this season at least!)
We lost our playoff game... so it was our last game of the season. I took mazing bars to the game for the flutes... yum! Kim and I were so hyper, if there had been walls we'd've been bouncing off them. Good Story: We are all jumping up and down screaming, and Samatha grabs my leg (so I can't move) and yells "Stop it!" I yanked my foot out of her reach it yelled " Don't touch my leg! That's a bad touch!" (those who go to my church might get that a little better. we had a good touch vs. bad touch lesson last week. I mean come on, do they think we're six?) The ride back was uneventful. I crashed and slept. went shopping on sat morning then babysat all night for $30. Oh! and i totally bought sisterhood of the traveling pants today. i love that movie. I promise to post pics of our show as soon as I can find my mom's camera. It's missing right now! hugs and kisses!

last home game...*tear
it's sad.... we won, of course, but most of our seniors were crying. The flutes gave ours a bracelet and some other stuff... and our section leader gave us all goodbye cards and roses! :( Awww... I'll miss Sarah. She is so awesome (but she does go to my church, so i can see her there!)....
we did make the playoffs, so we have a game next week... hope we win!
10.08.2005
Rained out... no, we weren't
Friday was our homecoming game. It rained, it poured, and the raindrops were not lemondrops of gumdrops. Shame. Anyways, flutes + Elizabeth met at Panera Bread and we had cake and ice-cream for dessert. Then we piled up and went to the game. Upon five min. of arriving, Doc announced that all woodwinds were to put their horns in thier car or in a random person's car. I did the second. They also passed out ponchos... and oh did we look snazzy. It rained & rained & rained... Since no woodwinds were playing, we got to dance and cheer along with every song. We had a blast! YAY!
10.06.2005
my birthday!
-------------------------------------------
Today is my birthday!
I spent a good two hours at the dmv this morning,
but I got my lincense!
YAY!
Then I had an ortho appointment, where he put icky stuff in my teeth to make molds...
but I got to go to Jim Bob's for lunch!
When I arrived at school, it was 3rd block,
my 3rd block teacher walked past me...
I thought this was weird.
Turns out, I got there 3rd lunch wave,
which is when I eat on white days.
I found my buddies and got lotsa hugs!
Euro came next,
to which I totally took cupcakes.
They were yummy!
homecoming activity today: Talent show... it was pretty good
homecoming (scratch that) my parade: cancelled :(
that's ok though
Alias comes on tonight...
can't wait for that
(can't wait for party either!)
10.05.2005
Takin' pictures..... well, kinda
today was celebrity day... which is lame
So I was a Paparazzi... I wore a long grey vest and had several cameras (2 actually)...
One didn't work, but its flash did. So I ran around flashing at people. Man, when someone sees a camera flash, they run, hide, get sad/angry, or pose after the fact. this all made me smile. for while they're trying to run from the camera in fear, I laugh on the inside knowing there's no film in it...
...Smile on!
10.03.2005
Wild West and Blast from the Past?
It's spirit week (aka homecoming week).
Today was western day.
Everyone was a cowboy or cowgirl...
but not me and a few of my friends!
We were indians!
I had a blue pawprint on my cheek
and feathers in my braided hair...
I also ran around barefoot, i mean come on!
Indains didn't have sneakers!
tomorrow is blast from the past
I heard a bunch of people say that they are going to
wear what they wore today tomorrow.
That's lame.
I'm going to wear not mine, but Codi's old poodle skirt.
Why hers?
Well, the waist on mine is too small...
hers fits
(this was a matching costume from 2 years-ish ago.. is that sad or what?)
I also have a blue sheer ribbon that I'll wear in a high ponytail...
funness guys!
9.26.2005
Six Flags
I went to six flags on sunday...
it was ok,
we got free tickets
so it's all good.
I only got to ride 4 rides though.
Lines were like... 90 min. long!
(and that is not an exaggeration because that is what the wait time box said!)
9.24.2005
Auburn at Valley
We won again! 20-7! That makes me happy 'cause my fav number is 27! We, and I mean the flutes of course, had sooooooo many snacks! Cathrine brought cookies and rice-crispies, Dani brought m&m cookies, and I took sixlets. It was awesome. I love dancing and cheering at the games! The bus ride there and back was about 30, and our bus was definatly the party bus. Will hooked his ipod up to some speakers... so we had some tunes! On the way back, we screamed and continued on cheering.... it was sooooo much fun! Today was a lazy day. I found the really preety song online that we learned in french. I'll work on getting a link up here. I also made codi's soccer team a website, which you can check out here.
9.18.2005
One(more)-turn at a time!
I practiced baton for about 2 hours today. I caught way more one-turns than I expected. My longest run was 7! WOOT!
9.17.2005
I got a cookie! :)
You know what my favorite thing about football games are? Half time... know why? 'cause I get a cookie afterward... this week, i totally got two! YUM! We won 30-0. good, eh? i thought so. Flutes decided to meet at brusters (instead of TCBY) after the game. Kim and I were bouncing oof the walls... why? Well:
- Kate gave us 2 cookies
- She also let me eat all the cookie crumbs... (sooooooooo good!)
- a nice flag gave me and kim a pixie stick (like we really needed some pure sugar)
- went to brusters and we both got cotton candy ice-cream that had pop rocks in 'em
-----------------------------------
I also went to the AU game today. I am really sad about it though... I only went to see their marching band and they didn't march (ironic?). I did get some cheezy-os at a booth though. chezy-os are the best things ever! It made me smile...
9.15.2005
A few notes:
- On monday, baton started back. I stepped on a paperclip and slid across the room. You should be proud, 'cause I didn't fall. Go me!
- wed- bible study! I totally took cookies... people like cookies.
- today- went to school, band practice, then to the library to work on our euro project. this makes me angry. Joanna and I did everything! The other guy didn't do anything... ugg
- Band today... crappy. I forgot to take shoes (i wear flipflops to school) to school, so i had to run. I actually didn't run, Dani and I walked around the field before everyone got outside...
9.09.2005
I lost a tooth!
I lost a tooth yesterday night! Whoops for joy! Now, i have only one babytooth left (not that 12 anymore... but i never lost 12... odd, eh?).
My story: This tooth has been loose for a year... It was bugging me for it had passed its time to go, but it didn't seem to mind just hanging there. So, i kinda punched at it... and it bled. I pulled at it, and you could hear the ripping of the vien... ewww! It bled, ALOT! But at least its out now!
9.08.2005
Game tomorrow! +odds 'n' ends!
9.04.2005
Past couple days...
- Thursday- an away game to dothan, al (2.5 hours away!) We won, 28-35, and arrived back home at a little past 1.
- Friday- had to go to school...was really, really, really, really, really tired....
- Saturday- first auburn football game (LOST!). I babysat from 2-12 and made $100. cool, eh?
- Sunday- Today! I'm going to go to cyo for movie night tonight...
- Monday- Tomorrow! No school! I'm soooooooooooooo happy!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday Game stuff:
- Our show was soooo much better. I feel much more confident!
- Near end of game, flutes decided to stand. We are in the front so now everyone must stand! During 'Eye of the Tiger', we placed our music on the rail dividing the stands from the walkway (which wobbled alot!). Halfway through, someone bumped the rail and every flute's music fell off! I surprised myself and kept playing! Turns out I knew it!
- All aubie buddies should be proud of me. I stepped out of my bubble... finally! I danced, screamed, cheered, yelled, and anything else along those lines... (Chatt buddies all ready think I'm crazy. I compare myself to Lauren. People here think I'm just a quiet and smart person. I guess that I"m letting my ashley side show... if that makes any sense!)
8.31.2005
best argument ever
Lindsey and Codi got in a fight yesterday. They were at opposite ends of the kitchen yelling at each other. About what you ask? Who Joe loves more. What a stupid thing to fight about! I personally know that that cat hates everyone. Anyway, here's a snidbit that I found funny:
Codi: Joe loves me more 'cause he purred when I pet him!
Lindsey: Yeah? Well Joe sleeps everynight at the foot of my bed!
Codi: So? I saw a deer yesterday! (yells and does actions to "SO-")
WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!?!? THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER!!!!
8.29.2005
that school ordeal
yes, I know that school is normally an ordeal, but today was more so than usual. As most people know, tornadoes love alabama. School officals do not and make you sit in the hall for a loooooooooooong time. The tornadoe sirens are located on the school flag pole (for the county). Imagine how loud it would be (it was made to be heard all over during a tornado!)... We stayed out in the hall until 2:40 (went out at 2). They announced marching band was cancelled. To quote Ashley, "YEEEESSS! FOR ME!" Then they annouced the storm had passed and another was on the way, so school would be let out early. Another YES! FOR ME! They let us out a whole 10 min early... wow. I got on my bus, very happy without band and the promise of returning to my comfy bed early, only to have my dream squashed by that darn siren again. I was sad... *tear. They made us get out of our buses and in certain clique words "Run for cover!".... We had to wait inside... again... for a long time. All in all, I got home 28 mins later than I normally do... but that means it was actually a 38 min hide-in-building as we were left out 10 min early. Now I'm home. YAY! That darn siren keeps going off... I hope a real tornado doesn't come that would scare the pants off of me.... well, shorts actaully as I changed out of my jeans... TTYL!
8.27.2005
First game...
Hey guys! Last night was our first football game, meaning that it was my first time marching. We left school after third block, but still had barely enough time for dinner (traffic was horrible! as for dinner, I had chik-fil-a). We arrived and warmed-up. I sat next to Meagan in the stands... I was on the end and had no one else, but meagan is cool. I like her angry face; it makes me smile. A cheerleader gave me a pom-pom; i felt special. You know what doesn't make sense? The cheerleaders cheet to the band! Why not to the people in the stands, eh? The band is all ready perky and cheering. Sometimes we even start cheers and they follow us! Anyways, we did our show. It was crappy. I dunno what happened. Next group went, they had fire-batons and everyone was like, "we're not good enough for that...". Not true. They really put our majorettes down. but I know for a fact that one of them can twirl fire-baton. Back to the game! We lost. 27-34. It was 21-6 at the half (us winning) and then 27-28 (them ahead) with one minute left... then they scored another touchdown. In the words of meagan, "sad day..." Bus ride home was fun. We got back at 12:30. They played Shark-tale on the bus; Brad pointed out alot of good life lessons in it. I found it better than I did the first time I saw it. Well, i got to go to codi's soccer game now. TTYL!
8.19.2005
First week pass slow... young grasshopper
Wednesday:
- i made it to school on wed. my bus came! (does a victory lap on getting to school on time)
- I rode the bus home for first time
- no band practice! WOOT!
- I went to bible study, was not late for this either! (today was good on time-ness)
Thursday:
- band was going to get out at 4:30 so we could go home, eat, and then report to the stadium at 5:40 for band-o-rama. It was cancelled. Why? Well, it's rained every day for the past two weeks (not making this up), and when Dr.Logan (band director) went to set up the field, his truck sank into the mud. He said no one would be able to get in or out of that parking lot... and it was a big thing of mud. (He had to get his truck pulled out!)
- Today! I could sing. It's the weekend. I'm swamped with hw. I've finished most of the actual work. Now I have to read and take notes for Euro, memorize the political boundaries and all landforms (lakes, rivers, mounts, valleys, etc) of Europe for Euro, and I have to learn all clothes, colors, and a poem for French. All of which have a test on Monday. Also, Codi has a soccer tournament this weekend (might not seem relevant, but hold on!), and we are all going to stay in a hotel there. When am I supposed to study? AHHH!
8.16.2005
School days...
Second day of school... I was late
let's hope I can make it tomorrow.
(there is a reason!)
Here's a metaphor:
- An adult is at the gym, he gets on a treadmill, and increases his pace as he goes. That was school.
- There's a kid here also. He goes to the treadmill straddls it (so he's not on the moving part), makes it go as fast as he can, jumps on, and flies off to smash into a wall. That is school now.
8.14.2005
School tomorrow.. ugg
School starts tomorrow... ugg. what can i say positive on that subject?
I went to cyo tonight. we had guthrie's for dinner and watched clips from Toy Story and had to think of who was most like us. I picked the little machine with a mic. Why? 'cause by himself he's quite but with someone else he's loud and crazy. Good pick, eh?
8.11.2005
Free at last! Then bound again...
Free at last!
Thank God Almighty
I'm free at last!
I know, it's a little out of context, but it still applies.
Why?
2 reasons.
#1: I finished euro notes today
and #2: Summer band camp is over!
DONE!
I could sing... but I won't
(I happen to be a very poor singer)
I would dance, but my knees hurt when I walk, so I'll refrain.
Pity....
Now it's over, done, but I'll only be free for 3 days.
Monday
ugg
school starts
I had "meet your teacher night" tonight
I know where my classes are
'cept band
didn't have time for it.
how will i ever find it?
Oh well...
I'll manage.
8.10.2005
CYO-ing
Wow. I had so much fun tonight... where to begin? Let's start with dinner. We went to Burg King, which, by the way, has the best fries ever. I tried their chicken fries. They weren't good... at all. Then i had to go to Codi' s soccer game. LAME! Oh well. It rained there... and I didn't feel like opening my umbrella so I just danced in the rain! Then I went to CYO. It was prayer and share, then bible study, then open CYO. I didn't care much for prayer and share, but bible study was so much fun. The guy who runs it will also be my euro teacher. He seems really cool. Then we all decided to walk to Cold Stone. YUM! I had coffee ice-cream with sprinkles. Wait! I forgot to mention that our new priest walked in to the CYO room and he was like, "What's going on?" We said we were going to get ice-cream, and he came too! I think I'm gonna like this new priest. He seems ok (at least he's not Irish...ugg). I'm going to retire now (as in go to bed). I have one more day of band camp to go... JUST ONE! I'm happy...
TTYL!
8.04.2005
Bonfire!
this is my warm fuzzy... I'll tell y'all that story tomorrow as well...
explanations soon to come...
8.03.2005
Band days...
Today was fun. I was all excited 'cause when I checked my band schedule today was free... It wasn't. I had to go to a "tour" at the high school. I have no idea where anything is. It totally missed the whole point of a tour. Oh well... I had Jim Bob's for lunch. YUM! Oh, and today was my daddy's b-day. (cake all around!) Band camp tonight was 5-7 with a 'Miss Band Camp Pageant' (all guys dressed up as girls) and a 'Lack of Talent Show' until 9. The LOTS was lame... But the pageant was sooooooo funny. My flute buddies dresses up Will. He looked like Dolly Parton... Blonde, curly hair, fake glittery lashes, big boobs, mini skirt, lots of make-up, and heels. Then people rushed in and yelled "All guys to stage and bring stuff for talent!" Will looked confused and asked what to do. Then Catherine whipped up a chair and said he should dance around it.... so he did! He spun the chair around, kicked off his heels and did a dance. It was great! All the guys did great... Jesse's was pretty awesome too... ask to see his belly dance... (that was one of his two talents... the other was a wet t-shirt contest). In the end, Will won. YAY! Good Job! Hope everyone liked it. Oh! Guy-who-is-convinced-that-I-don't-know-his-name sat next to me. During camp, during the show... I told him I knew his name... He said he didn't believe me. I'm not sure why. Do I make myself out to be a ditz to people? (Actually, to auburn people? Chatt. people all ready think I'm a ditz, but that is ok 'cause they are too! not kidding! Luv ya guys!) Then he didn't believe me when I said I was born in the 80's. Again, why would I lie about that? Oh well.... Tomorrow is the last morning band camp. YES! And tomorrow night we have a bonfire. I'll more than likely go.... seems fun. TTYL!
8.01.2005
Band Camp gets rain...
While marching today it started to rain. It was like the whole area was one of those giant misty things (you know, like at a amusement park?) It felt great! I have to go back tonight for practice 5-7, but I'm going to stay 'til 9. Why you may ask? Because today is monday funday of course! We are going to play games and there will be 50 pizzas... I'll tell y'all about it later!
7.30.2005
Jax Zoo
Good comment on the day:
"Look! A wild vending machine... those are rare."
7.26.2005
Procrastination
wow... I really do seem to procrastinate... I'm also really bad at spelling, but that has nothing to do with my point as of now... I won't be posting for all you people 'til sunday. I'm leaving tomorrow at 6 in the morning for Jacksonville. (I'll be on your time so you guys can call me at nine!) It's midnight... I just finished packing. Is that sad or normal?
I know a thing that's not normal. I've taken a liking to riding around in the car with my mom when she runs errands. Just riding along... I like music... that radio seems to play alot of it...
I'm now reading the 4th hp book... I finished the 5th yesterday... Oh! I was in Office Max (another errand trip, of course) and all the computer screens showed the trailer for the 4th movie! I'm sooo excited! I'm such a nerd!
By the way, Auburn now officially has a Target. It opened on Tuesday. I have all ready been there twice (errand trips strike again!). I took to wandering... you know, just drifting and not knowing where you are going... Then, to my surprize, someone totally yells my name. I turned. Elisabeth is right next to me. Man, I haven't seen people in a while. I told her she scared me... and that I had been wandering... She said she could tell...and, in fact, she had been trying to get my attention for a bit... I then told her off for not being in marching band... her sister is (her sis is the section leader)... she said she was sorry, and she thinks we'll be in the same band class.... I hope so! (I hope she's in my french too, if she hadn't been this year I would've gone mad with all the stupid idoits.)
Enough random thoughts... I got to go to bed.... I'll be waking up at 5:22 (my alarm is set!)...
Just thought I'd give you a long post before I had to go...
7.25.2005
CRICKET!
Oh my goodness! I was getting ready for bed (as its past midnight) and I went to open my drawer in the bathroom. And guess what? A FREAKIN' CRICKET JUMPED OUT OF THE THING! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I scremed. I believe that "AHH" is exactly what happened. I was saved by Lindsey. She rushed in and stomped it to pieces while wearing her slippers.... Know what's sad? My scream actually woke my parents up and they came running to the bathroom to see what was the matter.... they laughed... I don't care. I'm going to go to bed now, and I just know that I'll have nightmares about that drawer... (just kidding...)
7.21.2005
Band Uniform...
Today, instead of practicing, we had to try on uniforms... We have gloves (small), jacket and pants (number 6), and a hat (medium) (my sizes and assigned number, of course!). Here are some lovely pics so you guys can make fun of me:
my lovely jacket...
...it again...
and my hat!
my hat again!
7.16.2005
Harry Potter Arrives At Last
The new book arrived today! I read 12 chapters today.... does that make me obsessed? I hope not. Here's me sad story of the day: I finshed reading Life, the Universe, & Everything this morning and checked the porch for my book (where was the ups guy?). I seriously checked the porch every 15 to 30 min. I was getting restless at 2 in the afternoon. Then my mommy went and checked the mail. Turns out the book was in the mailbox... why didn't I think of looking there?!?!?!?! I felt stupid... oh well, that is nothing new. I read a bit, we went to church, and then had dinner at Jim Bob's. What a yummy resturant! I'm sleepy now people, talk to ya later!
7.13.2005
scrapbooking & band
My mom declaried it scrapbook day.
I actually made two pages...
here are my bad pics of them:
funness, eh?
I had band camp yesterday... it was ok... not much to report on that...

I PASSED!
YAY! I'm sooooo happy! I passed my in-vechicle test! YAY! What does that mean? It means, quite simply, that when i turn 16, I show the people a piece of paper, and they give me my license. I don't have to take the test ever again! And I passed! YAY! I can drive! (well, I have to wait 'til I'm 16, but I have a license waiting!) YAY!
(On a lighter note, I opened a bank account today. I will have my own atm card in a week!)

more drivers ed
Today in driver's ed was better.... we did interstate driving! YAY! This was my first time driving on the interstate... and it was in a car with four strangers (teacher dude and 3 students who are all cheerleaders). I did better today (I only got corrected once!). When we were about to get out of the car, he told us tomorrow we would do city driving. I was excited; I wanted to say, "Wow! We're going into a city tomorrow?" But I didn't. I don't think I should mess with people who live in a small bubble and think Auburn is a 'city'. (You really can't call it that, because downtown consists of a street.)
I went to the gym this afternoon... I ran on a treadmill like crazy. Do you relize how funny those machines are? You run and run and run, but you never move! That right there blows my mind (not a difficult feat though, mind you). Then I got to drive my daddy's car home. His car is sooooooo big, it was harder to turn and stop. Plus, it was raining. I drove to the neighborhood and practiced a 3-point turn. I totally did it! YAY! The song "I will survive" was playing... my dad started singing, "I hope I will survive." Not funny! Then when I pulled in the driveway he said, "Yes! I did survive!" My daddy is awesome!

NYC!
oh my! Sooooo many things happened, I'll probably forget most of them! So, I'll introduce them piece by piece in other blogs, but as to what I can remember now, here goes!
- We had pizza for almost every meal. I don't care what other people say... New York has the best pizza (way better than Chicago's)
- We stayed at 2 different hotels. One had two rooms, and I even had my own bed! (It also had a fridge, so we made a run for cokes!) The other was much newer and had 49 stories (1st had only 4), but the elevator system was wack. You typed in your room number and then it told you which of the 10 elevators to go in. With 10ish elevators, you'd think it be fast... but it assigns everyone to the same elevator! It took at least 30 min each time to get an elevator.
- My daddy took us to see a broadway play. I was sooo excited; he even let me pick which one! I choose Chicago, which was a good thing because the other two I wanted to see (Spamalot or Phantom of the Opera) were sold out. The play was sooo good! Wow... it had more songs than the movie, plus a HUGE twist... (involved gender confusion! AHH!)
- rode the subway many times... my dad actually asked for help and directions many times on these trips!
- went to statue of liberty (made a live report/recording on my phone from here, I'll try to get it up!).
- visited Little Itlay for lunch, than Chinatown for shopping (have a report from here too!).
TTFN!

driving update!
I drove to Kroger's today... yay! (this was with my mom). I did very well, and she says, "That was better than before, at least we only nearly died once." Lauren called me while at Krogers, I told her this... she said to tell my mom at least we didn't actually die....
Later my dad took me driving...downtown. Today was the first day I left our little neighborhood area, and my dad was like, "kerri backs up bad." Well, I have only practiced in a neighborhood! Backing up out of a parking space isn't done there! That's ok though... I drove to Smoothie King... It made life better...
I can drive a boat!
whoa, so cool! Driver's ed classroom part is now over (i have to go to drive the week of 27-30). Yesterday we learned about boat safty and, if you passed the test, you would recieve a certificate for a boat license. I'm not sure when I'll get it, but I totally have a boat license. I was planning on telling ya'll yesterday, but my crappy internet wasn't working... so sad. I went shopping yersterday! woo-hoo! I got a t-shirt that says 'I love Carbs', flip-flops from the gap, and two new bras {people do not know how thrilled I am! These are hard to find... kerri is tiny... :( } My mommy sorta promised to take me on a loooong driving lesson today. I'll try to post later with how it goes! :P

driver's ed and ice-cream party
I'm sorry about the all around lack of posting. It's mainly due to drviers ed. what a crappy course. you have to sit there for like 4 hours, while learning nothing! First day of class, the teacher says, "This is not a class to teach you how to drive." Ok, question: what is it a class for?!?!? Oh well... the whole thing sucks. funny thing today though. We are supposed to get out at 12, but the idoitic movie is lasting over. So this guy gets up, walks past the teacher, and leaves! Movie was over 2 min later. 2 min! Teacher was pissed btw.
Now as for ice-cream, I went to an ice-cream/pizza party last night at CYO. It was fun (only one other 10th grader though). I hung out with mainly 7th & 8th graders.... sad... we did play a fun game though called "Catch Phrase". Basically, it gives you a word people have to guess.... so much fun! too many stories about that, and they are really not important, so let's move on! Moving on, me and alex got into a play fight over what color my mom's car was. She promised it was blue while I insisted it was silver. I personally don't see why a person would argue about the color of another person's mother's car. wouldn't that other person know? Oh well.... it was fun!

In the jungle with no ice-cream cones...
Today, while sleeping, I heard the phone ring; thinking like in my dream, that I was at a hotel. I actually said, "Will someone please get that?" Then I realized I was at home and actually went to answer the phone. I believe, it was early people, that it was Cristina on the phone. She told me, actually told me, to come to church today and help decorate for VBS (life a safari/jungle type theme). I went. We painted a mural and made really ugly trees out of butcher paper. Then they told us to hang up the animals. I proceeded to run around the room naming all of them. Here is my list:
- baby elephant: Ellie
- bigger elephant: George
- Zebra: Ezra (like the awesome child's song)
- Giraffe: Ed
- Rhino: Eli (pronounced letter "E" then lie)
- and finally the Hippo, whose name was hippo, 'cause he was cool like that...
My sister came and picked me up... just as I was riding around the room on Ezra's back. Oh well, she already thought I was crazy. We decided to go to the blue shack. This is a neato place where you can get ice-cream for like a buck fifty. I went to the guy and said, "Can I have a dipped cone?" He then told me that he had run out of cones (HOW CAN AN ICE-CREAM PLACE DO THAT?!?!), but that he'd give us the ice-cream with chocolate stuff in a cup. This was good. I think we got more ice-cream AND more choclate that way. It was yummy. But now I've got to go do my ten vocab words a day, and then tonight I'm going to watch 'Bend it like Beckham'. TTYL!

~Panera Bread~
Panera was funny. Lindsey had an interview there at 2:30, so we went to have lunch before. I ordered, and just as I was filling up my drink, I remembered that I didn't tell them what to put on my sandwich. Now, this might not seem like a big deal, but to those who really know me, they know I'm a picky eater. Anyway, I get the sanwich and it has it all. It had onions, pickles, lettuce, mustard, and mayo. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I was not going to eat that... so, I told a little lie. I went up to the guy and asked him for new bottoms (i could pick off the stuff, but the mayo and mustard was on the bottom). He looked at me funny, so I told him I needed new ones because I was allergic to mustard which was all over the bottoms. He looked shocked and went on to say, "Oh, I'm soooo sorry! I'll make a whole new sandwich for you! Don't worry, I'll take care of you sweetie!" I was moved. This was like a college kid saying he would do anything to make it right and better... and I had lied. In the end, I got a new sandwich with nothing icky on it. Yay!
Cock of the Walk and Rescue Missions?
Yummy! My daddy took us to a new resturant yesterday. Called Cock of the Walk. This was no ordinary restaurant. We sat down and the waiter brings us some water in freezing tin mugs. Then (and it really helps to know that our waiter was cute) he brought out cornbread in an old skillet. He flipped the cornbread out, it circled around, and landing back in the skillet. He smiled and then put it down. The corn bread was okay... but it had corn in it. When I pointed that out to my dad, he laughed. I mean, come on?!?!? Corn bread does not usually have corn in it. So on with dinner! It was a normal meal... then we got to get dessert! You can't know how special that was. You see, we aren't even allowed to order drinks in restaurants, and now we got to get dessert! YAY! I got a cheesecake. When he brought it out, it had some kind of deformed fruit (which Lindsey would argue to the death that it was a strawberry) on it. I didn't touch it... ewww! I did it the cheesecake though! It was sooooooooooo yummy!
Now today, my daddy gave us money to go to panera for lunch. It is 1:30.... and Lindsey is still asleep... Oh well, it'll be a late lunch!
I watched Pocahontas today. I know that might seem random... but that is like the best disney movie ever! And, I'm proud to say, I no longer have to hide behind the couch when Kocoum gets shot. (I had to when I was little... it was scary!).
RESCUE MISSION (or should I say missions?)! I had to save the cats this morning... and also last night. Last night Lindsey left the back door open. Both escaped. Kirby is a coward. As soon as I opened the door to go find him, he ran back inside. For Joe, we had to search a bit. Lindsey found him. I wasn't really looking for him. Then, this morning when I came to see if any of you people were online to chat with, I noticed that the attic door was open. "How odd?" I wondered aloud. (I'm known to talk to myself). I went in, and it was hot in there! I saw Kirby on a self and went and picked him up though he looked bitterly at me. Then a heard a loud squeak. People who know joe know that he squeaks. I then, a couple mins later, found him on top of some tumbling mats. I then proceeded to throw him out the door. Man, I can't believe I saved his life...

Sisterhood of the Blog
Yesterday I went with Meagan to see sisterhood of the traveling pants. I loved it. There was just one problem. During that special moment when every girl gets teary eyed, these two people just burst out laughing. Come on! That kid is dying and you two have the nerve to just sit there and laugh? Why come to a girly movie? HUH?!?!? And there's this guy (who you can tell is on a date with his girl) who yelled "SHUT UP!" at them many times. You go dude. Meagan and I wanted to take off our shoes and throw them at them.... then we figured we wouldn't get our shoes back (and who honestly wants to lose a pair of shoes?). So, other than the freakishly annoying/rude people, the movie was good. |

here's Lindsey eating a deep fried Snickers candy bar.
doesn't that sound nasty?
here's a guy blowing glass...
...twice!
crap! My dad got in trouble... again....
there's no canoe in this field...
I'm very disappointed.
I'm sure that hardly none of you understand the last one...
that's ok...
it's not meant for you!

nature conspires against me
A weird thing happened today. I seriously think nature is conspiring against me. Why? Well, today was a lovely rainy day... in the front yard. It was raining buckets and more buckets in the front; the back yard was not one rain drop. So, I decided to go out the back, and walk up towards the front. You know, find that awesome place where you can stand half wet and half dry... didn't find it. Want to know why? The second I got out in the back, it starts raining there! That was so not nice. I promise you guys, nature hates me....

I'm a Florida Girl!
You Know You're From Florida When... |
You own at least five pairs of flip flops You know someone who's been struck by lightning You're more scared of the freaks who live down the street than gators Your backyard is sometimes a swamp You're officially sick of Disney You shrug off hurricane warnings You've been permanently blinded by fat men in speedos There are only two seasons - hot and hotter You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Florida. |
Alias...
(I'll mark which for you!)
You Know You're Addicted to Alias When... |
At every fast food joint you go to, you order "the special, no pickles" regardless of the fact that you LIKE pickles. You believe wearing a colorful wig and tight clothing can help you get away with anything. You check the sides of old book pages for Russian characters. Every time you see a black Mercedes, it reminds you of Sark. You notice every Ford Focus on the road. *You use the phrase "There are just so many problems with this..." at every possible opportunity. *You have suspicions that your spouse may actually be a double. *Your non- Alias obsessed friends (like you have any of those left! Hah!) refuse to talk to you about Italians, prophecies, pickles, wigs, parent/daughter relationships, spies or anything else that might lead to a discussion about Alias. You actually BUY a blue Ford Focus. (With gold rims, of course) *You wonder if Sark actually could be Irina's son. *You develop opinions and theories about this and other unanswered facets of the show, and spend a large amount of time formulating arguments for both sides of the debate... The main question you ask yourself shopping is "Would Sydney wear something like this?" *You have seen every episode. Ever. More than 5 times a piece. *You went to see Daredevil just for Jennifer Garner. You flip out when you see Michael Vartan in One Hour Photo married to someone else. The mention of weddings, rings, or two years just gets you incredibly ticked off. *After getting a bad grade on a paper you tell your friend about your professor saying "legally he's right, ethically he's an ass." *If the topic of TV shows comes up, you automatically ask the person "Do you watch Alias?" and if they say they've never heard of it... you immediately end the conversation. *You hear the songs played in the show.. and you instinctively listen for the lines of the characters.. and know precisely when their lines occurred in the song. *Your history teacher mentions something about the KGB.. and you suddenly think "Irina?" You have a codename that people actually call you by. *You think having no first name is a perfectly acceptable thing. *Old Asian men in wheelchairs creep you out. You will never view epoxy in the same way again. *You find yourself trying to find good, compelling reasons to sway your significant other that your next child/pet should be named "Irina" or "Sydney." You feel aggravated and insulted when you watch the episode of "Frasier" where Victor Garber plays Dr. Crane's British butler. ("Years of agent training and experience, wasted...") You feel a strange urge to bite Mike Tyson's ear off every time you think of "Jimmy Kimmel Live." *Whenever you hear a truly interesting song, you immediately think of how that song would fit into a scene from Alias. *You find yourself criticizing the REAL CIA based solely on your knowledge of Alias. *You think Jerry Springer's guests have boring, uncomplicated family/friend relationships and easy, simple-to-fix personal problems. *You become incredibly irritated when people say, "That girl Sydney, doesn't she really report to someone else?" and can tell them exactly how many episodes behind the times they are. *You begin fantasizing about planting listening devices on your significant other's work clothes, just to see if you can find anything exciting/spy-worthy. You know what J/I, S/V, S/W, Sarkney, Slark, slash, and shipper are, and have opinions on all of them. Every time you hear the Nokia ringtone, you get excited even though there's no way it could be Vaughn. *You look for air vents you could crawl into incase of an emergency. *On Monday morning instead of saying "hello" to your friend you just say "Did you SEE VAUGHN'S BOXERS???" The only people you have on your AIM buddy list are people you've met through Alias *When you begin to doze off in history class and only snap back to attention when the teacher uses the words "Alliance" or "Covenant." *You record every episode, then go out and buy the DVDs as well. You dream about Irina Derevko at least once a week. Sweiss does not sound like a candy bar to you *You assume that anyone who wears dark eyeliner is evil. *You meet a nice person and immediately become suspicious of their motives. *You constantly try to figure out ways to get Jack and Irina back together. *You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends who are addicted to Alias. |
Orlando!
YAY! I just got back from Orlando, which is always fun. i'm gonna write in bullets just cause it's easier... (my thoughts aren't flowing together at the moment, but hey, when do they?)
- went to magic kingdom
- guy at parking gate was funny... after we paid him the $8 to park, he looks at us and says, "Have a magical day..." funny part: he sounded so depressed saying it...
- best ride- Buzz Lightyear thing
- I'm a first class ranger
- 2nd best- Winnie the Pooh.... Had great fun singing the whole way through the ride... it reminds me of the time I got in trouble on the Snow White ride.... Me and Matt screamed the whole way through it... lady looked at us when we got out and says "hey, you shouldn't do that"
- went to the cast member sale (cheap disney stuff for their workers)
- codi got a pirate costume, and my parents took her to the front of a pirate dinner show and took her pic.
- I got tigger ears for auburn games.. woo-hoo! :P
- hotel was awesome... suite... free drinks... heated pool... hot tub... enough said
- CUP UPDATE!!! they don't sell pocahontas cups anymore, let alone anything pocahontas. so depressing. I did get a blues clues cup though... this makes me happy.
- ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

My cup :(
ugg! I'm sooooo pissed off!
That above is what is now left of my favorite cup.
I know its stupid, but I've had that thing since I was itty bitty.
And, to this day, Pocahontas is still my favorite disney movie.
Has been since, well, forever.
I got that cup when it came out...
It's one of those few things I've held onto/remembered about my childhood.
oh well... I guess nothing can be done about it now.
It was eaten by the garbage disposal.
My sister turned it on when the cup was in the sink....
giraffes and band camp don't taste good mixed
Today was the first day of rookie/band camp (such a geeky thing). I was worried about it though for 2 reasons.
- I thought I would be lonely... no friends... :( but things turned out ok. Turns out that I know a pretty good amount of 9th graders. (only like 5 10th graders there...)
- I didn't think I'd be able to play & I'll explain why. You see, I busted my lip open yesterday. and not just a little. it bled. nice thoughts... anyway, now my lip is swollen and I still don't think I can play. I'll see in like two hours. (we have a break mid through for lunch and stuff. I got off at 11 and go back at 3) 1st half was rookie camp, marching and other crap, then 2nd is music practice. Fun, fun, fun!
oh! I almost forgot! That's a picture of twigs, my new giraffe. Isn't he cute? If you were in Auburn last year, you understand. (the whole giraffe and rhino debates me and sarah got into.) I think I won... Giraffes are sooooooo much better!
5.22.2005
Chattanooga Choo-choo!
Yay! I spent the whole weekend in Chatt. I was so happy.... but right now I'm angry. You see, I accidently deleted all the pictures off of my camera.... ugg! Now I have no pictures :( Oh well.
Here's a recap of what went on:
- 5 hour car drive
- arrive at choo-choo
- have dinner at a place with singing waiters (always fun)
- seriously think of putting a bench in a fountain (the bench could be easily moved and the fountain was there, so why not?)
- Lauren, Ashley, and myself left sneakedly to board a bus, my daddy found us, so he came too. But it was a good thing he came 'cause he bought us all ice-cream.
- went back and me and ashley actually put the bench in the fountain. Seemed like a novel idea, but we are weak as ya'll know, and when putting it in, it tipped. Now there is a bench upside down in a fountain at the choo-choo. Fun-ness, huh?
- went to Kendall's house and had a blast. We had a Bridget Jones movie marathon. (if you haven't seen them, you need to!)
- went to my grandma's house, which was as boring as crap. I think it was there when I accidently deleted my pictures. boredom gets to you and makes you do stuff like that.
- went to L & A's house. Finally got my yearbook from 2004. (looooooong wait) I have way too many pictures in it. guess that's what you get when your best friend works on it....
- went to Fuddruckers on the way home... yum! (oh, and while there, when we went to pick up our order, my daddy looks at me and says, "Hey, I was supposed to get fries!" I then pointed out to him that there was a whole mountain of fries on his plate... I think he felt really stupid after that....)
- another long 5 hour drive. This time is was in a convertible with the top down the whole time. Now my hair is really messed up. Oh well... We did stop to get candy, that always makes trips better! :P

Update on the flower chain
Here's an update on my flower chain...
It's still there!
How creepy is that?
Example true false question: There is a substantial Jewish population in France.
Answer? I have no idea. What kind of question is that?
Anywho, I got to go babysit 'til 11. TTFN!
5.16.2005
Logic: The art of being wrong with confidence...
The answer is 42. Isn't that a great way to start a post? With the answer? Now, as for the question, I have no idea what it is. (btw, if you are totally lost, you either have no idea what the inside joke is, or you need to read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, which I highly recommend.)
Today was interesting, let's just state that. I had to turn in my Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde project, which I was too shy to read to the class and I got Mr. Tindell to read it for me.... that was sweet of him. Then I went to Business Tech. Can I really urge how much I hate this class? It's like I'm a two year old. I've "shot" myself many times in there when the teacher wasn't looking. Now, my last two classes passed uneventfully (math and science).
I just got back from guitar, and that could be a whole post of its own... You see, our (and by our I mean mine and Cristina's) guitar teacher is always 15 mins. late. So we decided to sneak out, run across the road, and buy some french fries at Guthrie's. Yummy! When we got back, our guitar teacher was there... and boy was Fred not happy. He made us do the crappy c scale over and over and over and over and over and over again. Not fun. Then I told him the answer was 42. I don't he got it b/c he looked at me funny... Oh well... What can you do?
5.15.2005
Kirby
Hey everyone,
I'm drafty bored today. hey, is that even a word? I mean, I know 'that' is a word, but is 'drafty' a word? Will someone please get back to me on that? Actually, I know that no one will 'cause no one reads this. Which, in a sense, makes me feel better. It's such a great outlet for everything!
But I am being a bit rude. You see, today's subject is Kirby. And who might Kirby be? He's my loveable kitten! He's so sweet and I just love him to pieces. That pic is actually very flattering of him, don't you think?
He's a sweetheart. You know the feeling when something is sooooo cute, you just want to eat it, but later you'll be sad that you did? Kirby imbarks that feeling. Oh, I'm going to miss him when he dies.....
(not that he's going to any time soon, just stating that...)
Workin' at the car wash!
| Wow. Isn't it amazing the things parents can sometimes ask you to do? I mean let's face it. I was asked to wash the car, which is no big deal. Wanna know what the big deal was? It was raining. Now people, I ask you this: Is there any point to wash a car when it is raining? Personally, I think not. But hey, now that car is squeaky clean... & wet... |

So I made a comic!
I mean, like just plain awesome?

Wednesday...
I know it's weird, but I love Wednesdays...
It's probably because my favorite show comes on Wednesday...
Can anyone guess?
It's Alias!
That is like the best show ever!
Well, now I'm typing really fast 'cause I need to go eat.
Now, I know what you are probably not thinking.
This is, "Why would you eat at 4 pm?"
Answer: Simple. I have to go babysitting at 5 o'clock and I feel bad
when I eat people's food....
is that weird?
I hope not...
I just realized that I have no idea how to spell 'probably' or 'realized'....
I hope I spelled them right...
but, if I didn't, it's not that big of a deal.
What could you expect?
I have failed almost every spelling test I have ever taken...
you can tell, huh?
TTYL folks!
5.10.2005
Another day at school....
but it is in a dumpster some where covered in egg...
lovely thoughts, huh?)
But I did mange to get some pics afterward back in class... here they are!
above is Saramia.... one of my good buddies! I love that shirt too!
(says,"I'm rad, You're rad, let's hug!)
I always give her a hug when she wears it
'cause I'm rad & everyone knows it!
this was supposed to be Sarah and Becca...
Sarah took the photo herself though, so it's not my fault the pic got caught off!
Just kidding, but seriously I could try it again...
and this last one is Nicole
aka Nickel Shanaynay
I'll miss her!
(she's going to boarding school next year... :( )
