quick updates

12/23- saw Memoirs of a Geisha with Dani, Elisabeth, & Francis. It was good; that puppy will win some awards! Best part- boy and girl are having hushed conversation by lake, he leans in and says, "there's something I should have told you long ago" -which of course is that he loves her- at same time, Elisabeth learns over and goes, "I'm gay." It was great... that would have changed the whole mood of the movie right there. That night, we had our "Christmas Dinner" and opened presents.

12/24- went to Opry Land hotel for Christmas Eve night. Watch the awesome fountain/light show. And I was totally an awesome tour guide b/c of the beta trip.

12/25- Christmas! I got a car. It may be small, in a little glass box, and not even able to fit a polly pocket inside, but it is still a car.

12/26- Christmas in Chatt. I usually love to cause trouble, but I was good this year. Aren't you proud?

12/27- Went to art district: had hot chocolate, sandwich, and played boccie,  had dinner with Lauren and Ashley, and went to mall with them (totally had a smoothie... YUM!). Went to their house for a bit and more than likely bored them out of their minds with RENT soundtrack (which I'm listening to right now as well!)

12/28- Had lunch at Fuddruckers and that's about it. Oh! There was a bad hail storm on the way back and now dad has to pay a lot to fix all the dinges in his car

12/29- Worked out and now my arms are really tired. I also bought Wicked and am currently reading it. So far, it's good!

12/30- (today) Finally updated my blog after a looooong absence. Tonight I will pack for my ski trip tomorrow!

LAST DAY!

Last day of school! Yep buddies!

Band was so much fun. Dani made these awesome cootie catchers... I will be in a Broadway play but will live in a box in central park. Oh well...

The English exam was fairly easy. Elizabeth and I were both done with an hour to spare, so we snuck out my CD player and listened to the whole first disc. WOOT!

Kirby is Gorgeous!

This is a well known fact though... so we won't dwell on it...

I had two exams today, french and health in the opposite order. The french was ok... I guess the health was too, it just shocked us a little when we found out it was a 14 paragraph essay... it was pretty easy though!

I bought headphones!

I have one exam tomorrow, but 2 classes. I'll have to sit in band for 2 hours doing nothing... YAY!

I like white chocolate chex mix....

Now, if only I could get those darn rent songs out of my head...

Band Concert

Our holiday concert was today. I don't know about you, but our outfits are very manly... I felt some much like a boy. It is bibbers, fake shirt front, jacket, bow-tie  and shoes. Afterwards my dad felt the need to go to Kmart to buy some Christmas balls so I got to walk around the store all snazzy-like; I got A LOT of strange stares...
As for actual music, we did very well. I was so happy!
Here are some pics for ya!

decorations?

My dad made gingerbread cookies.... the best decorated one had a tooth pick going through it with "blood" escaping from the wounds... isn't it darling?

*St. Nick's Day*

Today was St. Nicolas's day! YAY for candy! He didn't come in the morning, in fact, he hasn't come yet. Why? Well, his sled was "delayed".... basically meaning my parents are not back from NYC yet and they won't tell us where they hid the "stash"....

*Christmas Parade*

Today was our lovely downtown Christmas Parade, and, if you'd like to see some pics, I'll be glad to show you!
I would be the one near the very end, for I told Lindsey I was one the left, yet she stood one the right to take pics... oh well... Enjoy!

(I'm the one with the knee bent up a little near the back!)

yo ho! yo ho! A good grade is for me!

Our Antigone Vingette (aka a skit) was awesome! We had about 2 weeks to work on it, and my group practiced alot... And it was totally worth it. Our skit rocked and I actually didn't freeze. We aced it. Our teacher even said that it was her favorite on our grade sheets... YAY!
