only bored people talk about the weather

Alabama has the strangest weather. If there was a contest for strange weather, Alabama would win. It has been freezing cold all week. Yes, I really mean freezing weather in the low 30s. Then, on Thanksgiving, I wore soffees! Sweaters all one week, soffees, flipflops, and t-shirts the next. It is rather pleasant now.... our christmas parade is thursday and I have to wear my sparkles... so i'm crossing my fingers that it stays warm!

They've Got the Moves... & then some

Yes! That day finally came. As soon as it was announced that the Altar Boyz were coming to Alabama, I jumped at the chance to buy tickets. And let me tell you, they were fabulous. From the second those five boyz ran onto the stage, all doubts ran from my mind and I knew that we were in for a treat. From the introduction (Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan, Abraham- he's Jewish!) to confessions from the seemingly gay singer (I am... a Catholic!) to the final bow, the show was nonstop entertaining. I know, how could a show with gorgeous guys singing and dancing up a sweat possibly keep your attention? Well, (as if that question doesn't answer itself) there's even a plot! So, next time you go out to the theatre, and do it soon because their last day is tomorrow, go see the Altar Boyz!

Friday the 13th

Last night was our first long distance away game (meaning, the first with charter buses). We arrive at the mall and through some confusion, Ali, Brittany, and I left our stuff on the bus. We are supposed to change in the mall. We ran all over the mall after we ate trying to locate the bus drivers. We finally found them with only 10 min left until we have to leave. AHH! After changing super fast, we ran out w/o make up or shoes to do those on the bus. But we were not late! YES!

game was fine. we won 29-15.

Picture this. It's Friday 13th, we are traveling 2+ hours on a bus through dark backwoods alabama, its late since our game is over (wasn't home until 1). Our bus chaperone says, "I have a great idea. Let's watch a scary movie." Hmmmm.... I do not watch scary movies in my well lit and locked up home, let alone on a bus in the middle of nowhere when its pitch dark on Friday the 13th! Oh well... no one listens to me... So I get the lovely pleasure of watching the Grudge (remeber the commercail of a hand coming out the back of her head in the shower? that's the grudge)... It was fun though... with the whole bus screaming then laughing at each other at the same time....

forgotten birthday post

I know... how could someone forget to post about their birthday... well, it just happens. I did have a very nice bday though. It was our patriotic show which ended with fireworks (not many, so it was a little disappointing). Then I had some friend over after the game. It was late, but we ordered pizza and ate cake and icecream anyway. I got altarboyz tickets! WOOT! A couple of my friends went in together and bought me the Grimmerie (a book all about the musical Wicked) which was so sweet! It's so big I haven't finshed looking through it yet (but this may be due to lack of time). AHH! It's junior year... and I'm seventeen! Where did the time go?

Auburn University Honors Marching Band

Yesterday I was a part of the AU Honors Marching Band. Being in it means that you get to perform at Jordan-Hare stadium in front of 80,000 ish people. I was up at the university at 7:00 o'clock...ugg. We practice our routines and then were let go at 10 (had to meet at 12). The rest of AHS's majorette line and I hung out at Ali's tailgate, then I went with my dad to get cheesy-os... yum! So, yes, I got to perform at a major university's half time show and let me just say that I had no drops (another perfect show... had one 2 friday's ago). But now I'm in pain. I'm very sunburned and even have blisters from it all over my face. EW! Don't worry, I'll live. This week at school is homecoming which means dress up days! I'll try to get pics for all of them! TTFN!
